WA - Rialto Beach

Just off the howling shores of Rialto Beach in Washington, rocky islands materialize out of the mist.
I arrived early at Rialto beach in La Push after spending the night at the adorable Miller Tree Inn in Forks, WA. Bill and Susan, the owners of the adorable bnb are wonderful hosts. After some kick-ass french toast and eggs cooked up by Susan, I braved the wind and the ever present rain and made my way west to La Push.
This breathtaking view is immediate upon arrival, and is only about a 30 minute drive from Forks to La Push. From any major city though its a full day of travel, but is absolutely worth the time to walk up and down this rocky shoreline.
After taking in the view of those magnificent offshore islands I spent the rest of the time climbing and leaping around on the giant driftwood logs that line this Washington coastline.
Eerie mountainous islands breaking through the mist just off the coast of Washington
Amazing giant logs lined this entire Washington beach
Don't expect to find sand at this Washington Beach - just enjoy the Rialto pebbled shores instead
Expect wind and rain if you visit anytime during the Fall or Winter - don't be fooled by these pictures, it most definitely rained - a lot.

I wasn't kidding about the plethora of massive drift wood at Rialto Beach
