Utah - Zion National Park

There is no time to be bored in a world as beautiful as this.
Angels Landing
Zion National Park is a step back in time. I have never felt so small or more disconnected from the modern world than when staring out across these canyon vistas. The mountains dwarf everything but the sky.
Zion is one of those places that pictures simply can't do justice. You need to experience the beauty and wonder of this Jurassic canyon in person.
This US national park located in Springdale, Utah is by far my favorite national park I've visited. It's definitely no longer a secret natural wonder though. The entire town has molded itself to accommodate the tourists that flood the area year round from around the world. While this does mean you are unlikely to ever have the whole canyon all to yourself, it does have some perks! A regular and convenient shuttle service to and from the base of each hike is available to visitors - meaning you can park almost anywhere in town and walk to a drop off point. Additionally, the trails are very well kept and well marked. Expect to have plenty of company on any of the more popular trails though.
We spent the day hiking Angels Landing (and yes it was rather crowded). Even so, the hike is best described as "strenuous." It really isn't too long milage wise, I believe its only 5 miles round trip. The elevation change though - whew. Straight. Up. Especially the last mile or so to the peak. We physically pulled ourselves up using rope built in along the (very) narrow trail to reach the top. 100% worth the climb though.
Each corner presents incredible views - just make sure to look behind once in awhile to capture them!
"Brb just going to go sit off the edge of that cliff over there"
All in all, Angels Landing was well worth the trip. I Highly recommend visiting! Of course there's plenty more than just this one hike to see and experience at Zion. If you've ever been and have a favorite thing to do please let me know! I will definitely be returning one day and next time the number one thing on my list is to wade my way through The Narrows.
